Education and care plan in the czech-english children's group Shining smile
The education and care plan defines the basic requirements and conditions for activities in the Czech-English children's group Shining smile. It includes all components of education (mental, moral, aesthetic, and physical). Care and education in the Czech-English children's group Shining smile takes place in close cooperation between the parents and the caregivers. In the relationship between caregivers and parents there is mutual trust, openness and helpfulness, respect, and a willingness to cooperate.
The activity in the children's group has the character of education and care. It emphasizes the socialization of children in the peer group with regard to the individual approach of each situation and mood of each child. We aim to develop independent and healthy self-confident children.
The education and care provided to children in the Shining smile Children's Group is based on the following principles:
- Respect for the age and individual differences of children
- Adapts to children's developmental, physiological, cognitive, social and emotional needs.
- Also adapts to individuals with specific needs
- Helps the integration of children in the group into the team and the creation of friendships
- Effective and fun English teaching
- Focuses on multiculturalism, respect, understanding and openness to diversity
- Takes care of a healthy lifestyle
- Helps to develop speech skills and communication skills
- Has an environmental character
- Respects the child's age and relevant skills
- Emphasis is placed on the prevention of negative environmental influences on the child.
The Czech-English children's group Shining smile presents a homely, positive, safe and joyful environment for children, in which children integrate into a team and learn to communicate and cooperate. The development of ethical and moral values of children in our children's group places great emphasis on children naturally building an internal system of social values, personal attitudes, and basic rules of behavior in society.

The Czech-English children's group Shining smile provides plenty of stimuli for active learning and development of children's personality and thus helps the acquisition of knowledge and the development of cognitive abilities, sensory perception, nonbinding qualities as well as speech and communication skills. We emphasize a balanced representation of guided and free activities. We leave time for the children, when the child has the opportunity to explore the world without distractions and to complete tasks that he/she has invented. We consider free play to be an important means of developing children's intelligence and imagination, thanks to which children acquire the ability to entertain themselves.
Content of educational activities
Educational activities and childcare are aimed at the development of the following areas:
- biological area (child and his body)
- socio-cultural area (child and society)
- psychological area (child and his psyche)
- environmental area (child and the world, nature, animals)
- interpersonal area (child and the others)

Physical activities
Movement activities represent movement and musical movement activities, which are mainly focused on the development of fine and gross motor skills, physical development of the child, support for its proper growth, development of physical fitness and dexterity, development of independence and cooperation, healthy habits and creation of physical well-being.
Musical activities
Through musical activities, we support children's innate musical abilities. It helps develop auditory perception and vocabulary. As part of musical activities, children learn to coordinate their movements to the music, learn to sing, learn songs and learn about musical instruments.
Art and craft activities
Thanks to art and craft activities, children practice fine motor skills of fingers and hands. Children learn new procedures, learn new skills and develop their creativity. Art and craft activities support children's imagination and fantasy.
Activities to develop children's language skills.
On the basis of speech and rhythmic exercises, children acquire language skills. Children learn to tell stories, converse in a group and conduct conversations, at the same time children develop their vocabulary and learn the rules of non-verbal communication. These activities include, but are not limited to, word puzzles and listening to fairy tales and stories.
Activities to develop mental and cognitive abilities
During these activities, children form a comprehensive view of the world both in the form of games and through direct observation. Children acquire knowledge from natural, social and technical sciences and develop their organizational skills and ability to navigate their surroundings. Children learn activities aimed at protecting health and personal safety and activities to prevent accidents.

Aim: To help the children adapt to their new environment, get to know their teachers and new friends. To familiarize children with the daily routines and rules of the kindergarten. To encourage teamwork and creativity. To involve parents and create a bridge between the family and the playgroup.
Me and my family:
Personal Identity. Roles in the family. Family members. Family traditions.
Aim: Development of self-esteem, awareness of one's own identity and getting to know others. Who makes up my family (mum, dad, siblings). To promote awareness of family ties. Children know their family members, working with the concept of ta, ten.
Weather:
Familiarity with natural phenomena. Types of weather. Weather and seasons. Weather and nature. What is the weather like today? How important is the sun and rain. Night and day.
Aim: To learn about different weather phenomena and how weather affects our daily lives. Children can recognise and name different types of weather. Know how weather changes with the seasons and affects nature and the environment.
October
Autumn:
Changes in nature in autumn. Changes in autumn. Colours and gifts of autumn. Autumn weather. Introduction to traditional fall holidays (Halloween).
Aim: Children know natural materials (leaves, chestnuts, acorns). Knowledge to behave in nature. Reinforcement of knowledge about nature and the environment. Creating a positive relationship with traditions and culture. Children know what happens to the trees in autumn, its colours and fruits.
Animals in the forest:
How we behave in the forest. Animals in the forest - who lives there? Animals and their preparations for winter. Winter and summer sleep.
Aim: Children know which animals live in our forest and how we take care of them. They can name the animals that sleep in winter and those that do not. Know how to behave in nature. Reinforce knowledge about nature and the environment.
Halloween:
Learning about Halloween and its signs, carnival. Games with costumes. Treasure hunt.
November
Colors:
Explanation of what colour is. Explaining what colour is. What colour is it? Shades of color. Colour week.
Aim: Recognising and naming the basic colours. Difference between dark and light colors. Approaching the world around us through colour cues.
Colour Week:
Children come to playgroup each day wearing a different, designated color.
Right:
Introduction to transport. Names of means of transport. Where do they go? Parts of means of transport. Traffic lights, signs.
Aim: They know the basic names of the parts of means of transport and know what the different colours on the traffic lights mean.

The Devil and St. Nicholas:
Who was St. Nicholas? Who was Santa Claus? A story about the tradition of St. Nicholas, the devil and the angel. What does it mean to be good or bad?
Aim: Children know who St. Nicholas was and why he comes to them with the devil and the angel.
Christmas:
Talking about the Christmas tree. What ornaments can we put on the tree? Why do we have a tree at home? Christmas traditions and decorations, Christmas cards. Christmas candy. New Year's Eve, what do we have to look out for?
Aim: Children have an idea of what Advent is and how we prepare for Christmas. They will be able to bake Christmas candy on their own. They know what New Year's Eve is and that it must be hazy.
January
Three Kings:
Introducing children to the story of the three kings and their significance. Talking about what gifts the three kings brought to Baby Jesus. The symbolism of the star.
Aim: Know the reason for the Three Wise Men's visit to the baby Jesus. Encourage the development of children's imagination.
Winter and winter fun:
What does winter look like? Winter sports. Health in winter. Snowmen and winter fun.
Aim: To encourage children to appreciate nature and animals in winter.
Town and village:
Town buildings and country houses. Transport in town and village. People and animals in town and village. Markets and shops.
Aim: To know the differences between life in town and country. Understanding of the basic elements of urban and rural landscapes.

The human body:
Description of the basic parts of the human body. The internal organs. What I can do with my body.
Aim: Awareness of the basic parts of the body. Children know where their internal organs are. Knowing how the body works, developing a positive relationship with their own body.
Senses:
Introduction to the five basic senses. Explaining what each sense means and what it is used for.
Aim: Understanding how I perceive the world around me.
Hygiene:
Basic hygiene - clean hands protect our health. Brushing teeth.
Aim: Children know what germs are and that proper hand washing protects our health. They know that we brush our teeth to prevent tooth decay and other problems.
March
Mardi Gras:
What is Mardi Gras and what are its traditional customs. What are the traditions of Mardi Gras and what are the different types of masks. Carnival pageant.
Aim: They learn how to prepare carnival delicacies. Fun and creativity.
From fairy tale to fairy tale:
Familiarity with classic fairy tales.
Aim: Creative learning, play, development of imagination. Children can name fairy tale creatures and their characteristics. They will learn about Czech fairy tales. Development of musical ear, development of thinking and logic in solving simple tasks.
The arrival of spring:
Awakening of nature, spring flowers and plants. First insects and other small animals. Animals and their young.
Aim: To learn about the arrival of spring and the first spring flowers. To introduce children to the insects that begin to appear with the arrival of spring and to introduce them to the baby animals that are born in spring.

Sports:

Aim: Idea of the length of time - year, month, week, day, hour, minute, second. Day is divided into - morning, noon, evening, afternoon. Time -yesterday, today, tomorrow. Late, early.
All these activities, are seen every day for the parents in the Twigsee kindergarten app.
The Education and Care Plan is in force from January 2025.
